That’s why DBIA has been working closely with our venue, the Gaylord Rockies Resort & Convention Center, to plan a worry-free Design-Build Conference & Expo for all of our in-person guests. The venue has implemented a multi-pronged approach designed to meet the health and safety challenges presented by COVID-19.
Technology Innovations
- Enhanced technology is used to ensure a sanitary environment.
- Electrostatic sprayers are being used to apply hospital-grade disinfectant to high-touch surfaces.
- Thermal scanners are deployed at each staff entry point to conduct non-invasive temperature checks of all staff.
- Mobile technology is used to allow guests to use their phones to check-in, access their rooms, make special requests and order room service without contact.

DBIA will abide by the rules of the conference venue which include:
- Gaylord Rockies’ staff currently are required to wear a mask at all times
- No masks required for vaccinated guests
- Unvaccinated guests are asked to wear masks
The Gaylord Rockies team has implemented increased cleaning frequency of public spaces and surface areas with hospital-grade cleaners. Visit clean.marriott.com for more details of Marriott Bonvoy’s “Commitment to Clean” both in common areas and in individual guest rooms.
DBIA will take extra steps to ensure your health and safety including:
- Color-coded wristbands to clearly convey to your fellow attendees your comfort level with personal contact:
- Red – Give me space/no contact
- Yellow – Elbow bumps welcomed
- Green – I’m fully vaccinated and okay with personal contact
- Hand sanitizing stations throughout the meeting space
- Sneeze guards at all food service stations
- Servers for all meal functions to ensure minimal touch-points
