Design-Build Institute of America Names New Strategic Communications Director

Washington, D.C., November 30, 2016 – As we enter an era in which investing in our nation’s infrastructure has been designated as a key priority for cities, counties, states and the federal government, it’s more important than ever that the design-build industry successfully spread the word about the proven efficiencies of an integrated design-build approach which consistently delivers time and cost benefits.

“Design-build use is rapidly growing and is one of the most significant trends in design and construction today, helping owners achieve best value while meeting or exceeding cost, schedule and quality goals. That’s the message we need to deliver far and wide and why I’m so happy to have an experienced communications pro, Kim Wright, join us in the newly created Strategic Communications Director role. Kim has decades of experience as a journalist and communications expert and will help DBIA plot a strategic communications approach ensuring owners, lawmakers, public policy influencers and industry leaders nationwide understand the value of design-build to their communities.”… Lisa Washington, DBIA Executive Director/CEO

“DBIA is in a unique position to provide analysis and insight from diverse sectors of the industry as we enter a potentially new era of American infrastructure investment. These issues will have a huge impact on the lives of average Americans, private sector businesses, investors and public policy and I’m looking forward to helping provide critical information and context to that debate.”… Kim Wright, DBIA Director of Strategic Communications

Before coming to DBIA, Kim Wright was the Assistant Director of Communications at the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare, the News Director at NewsChannel 8 in Washington, D.C., and the Deputy Bureau Chief and Capitol Hill/White House correspondent at Potomac News.
