The DBIA-Southwest Region’s 16th Annual Conference is being held May 14 & 15, 2020 at The Hyatt Regency San Antonio Riverwalk in San Antonio, Texas. Join your friends and colleagues in the D-B industry for this unique opportunity to network and earn up to 9.50 CEUs while learning the latest information on the hottest topics in design-build. We are once again offering a full day and a half of programming and the opportunity for you choose your path by featuring Thursday afternoon breakout sessions on a variety of topics! Friday’s keynote speaker Rex Miller will present “All the Big Mistakes Happen on the First Day”. Sessions will include updates on the Aggie Expressway, Wichita’s Northwest Water Treatment Facility, and San Antonio’s I-35 Northeast Expansion; along with topics covering the criteria that make for a good D/B project; lump sum D/B versus progressive D/B; cost versus technical considerations in the RFP; legislative mandates for D/B in the Southwest Region; D/B advances in the booming oil and gas industry, and more! Plus, we’ll have a presentation from Oklahoma State University students representing the winning Region Student Design-Build Competition Team, and a luncheon featuring panelists addressing the question “Do Collaborative Models Really Work?” Last but not least, we have the annual networking reception Thursday afternoon!
