For anything built before the early 2000’s, mapping of existing conditions has been frustratingly inaccurate, inefficient and time-consuming. These inaccuracies lead to inaccurate drawings which erode budgets and schedules for both designers and contractors. The reality capture spectrum of tools has opened doors to accurately map existing conditions saving both time and cost.

With over 35 years of combined experience in the industry using reality capture workflows, the design-build team working at the Tampa International Airport will showcase not only how reality capture is part of the workflow for their project team, but why it should be standard on any job. They will share their experience with the TIA project and illustrate how implementation can be applied to any project type, any sector and any size.
