The Ozarks Chapter of DBIA’s Mid-America Region invites you to attend a joint education meeting – DBIA and the Water Design-Build Council joint effort. Sponsored by Crossland Heavy Contractors and Garver. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
Course Information:
Education Program Topics include
- Making the Decision to Pursue Collaborative Delivery: Influencing factors – Use of an Owners Advisor – Project priorities/drivers
- Principles of Collaborative Delivery Methods: Method-by-method discussion of each option and their attributes
- Apportioning Risk: Guiding principles: definitions, risk allocation shift (traditional delivery to collaborative delivery)
- Contract Fundamentals: Commercial concepts: cost of work, open book, price, preconstruction services, construction fee, shared savings, and incentives
- The Procurement Process for PDB, FPDB, CMAR – best practices guides
- Management and Transition: DB and CMAR management differences – commissioning/acceptance
DBIA CE Credits: 4.5
All attendees will receive a copy of the Water-Wastewater Design-Build Handbook and Workbook – and Procurement Guide Documents
