As you are likely aware, traditional fixed-price contracting in design-build is creating challenges to owners, contractors and designers. To address these challenges DBIA National and DBIA New England are promoting progressive design-build (PDB).  With this approach, the Owner “progresses” towards a design and contract price with the team, making it an increasingly popular delivery option. In New England the majority of the private sector owners are successfully using progressive design-build on their design-build projects.

Progressive Design-Build helps address challenges currently faced by owners, designers and contractors. This course will describe the advantages to the owners and design-build team when compared to the traditional design-build delivery system.
