SW Conference Webinar Series: Do Collaborative Models Really Work?

Designing and delivering construction projects has evolved over time beginning from the early master builder method in Ancient Egypt, through Design-Bid-Build, and now collaborative delivery models. Design-Build as a collaborative model continues to rise in popularity and utilization throughout the U.S. This panel of owners will discuss The Good, The Bad, and The Alamo. Join to understand owner perspectives, hear lessons learned, and determine if Design-Build is right for you.

About the Presenters

Alissa R. Lockett, P.E., PMP is a Director of Engineering at the San Antonio Water System (SAWS) with seventeen years of experience in the water / wastewater industry. She oversees the Vista Ridge Integration program that will deliver 50,000 acre-feet per year of water to SAWS customers to diversify and guarantee the water supply for San Antonio, the nation’s seventh largest city, past the year 2050.

Elena Bailey, MS, PE is the Director of Business Development in North America for Ovivo Water. She has over 30 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment with particular expertise in equipment design and process applications of Membrane Bioreactors and Aerobic Digestion projects.

Amy Middleton is the Utilities Manager for the San Antonio River Authority. Her department includes Treatment, Collections and Maintenance. The River Authority serves approximately 35,000 connections on the eastern side of Bexar County.

Robert Upton, P.E. is the Director of Engineering and City Engineer for the City of Pearland, where he oversees more than twenty City staff and a $1.9 million operating budget while developing and constructing a five-year $545 million Capital Improvement Program.
