Design-Build City-Wide Training

Helping New York City Owners Reap the Full Benefits of Design-Build Authority

(4 DBIA/AIA CEUs)

REGISTRATION CLOSED

The Design-Build Institute of America will be providing Design-Build Done Right™ training to New York Owners eager to get to work using their expanded design-build authority. As the only organization in the nation focused solely on defining and teaching design-build best practices, DBIA is pleased to offer this workshop at no cost to help New York City Owners begin their journey on the road to successful design-build project delivery.

This half-day training will be presented by two of the nation’s leading and most highly-respected design-build experts: Craig Unger, DBIA, CEO of Unger Security Solutions, LLC and Michael C. Loulakis, Esq., DBIA, founder of Capital Project Strategies, LLC. The session will cover topics, including:

•   What Does Design-Build Authority Mean for New York City?
•   Design-Build Done Right™ — What it Means and Why it’s Important
•   Key Owner Considerations when Selecting the Design-Build Team
•   Design-Build Opportunities and Challenges
•   Open Discussion/Q&A

Collaboration is key to design-build’s success and we encourage agencies to bring key decision-makers, legal and procurement professionals. Registration opens on June 7th.

This is an Owners-Only event and we will not accept non-owner registrations. We highly recommend each team includes procurement and legal staff. Register each participant here to reserve your spots at DBIA’s New York City Wide Training workshop.

Shailendra Patel, P.E., DBIA, Virginia Department of Transportation

“Whether you’re an Owner new to design-build or an experienced pro, DBIA is the place to turn to for the tools we need to deliver the best possible projects, on-time and on-budget, no matter their size or complexity.”

Stephanie Sansom, PE, Parker Water & Sanitation District, CO

"I gained a real appreciation that every project is indeed different. The approaches taken in one project may not be applicable to every project, but there are lessons learned and takeaways from every situation that can used to improve upon one's next project."

Johnny Gaffney, Pinnacle Veteran Services

“Design-build is the most logical and cost-effective approach for almost every project I do. DBIA training and the Design-Build Done Right Primer articulates the value proposition to an Owner far better than I ever could.”
