Summary:
Monitored FDOT must receive at least three letters of interest in order to proceed with a request for proposals on DB and PDB projects. The department shall request proposals from no fewer than three of the firms submitting letters of interest. If a firm withdraws from consideration after the department requests proposals, the department may continue if at least two proposals are received. Changes definitions.
The department may also choose, in its discretion and applicable only to phased (PDB) design-build contracts to allow the issuance of multiple contract performance and payment bonds in succession to align with each phase of the contract to meet the bonding requirement in this subsection.
