Kahua supports the National Science Foundation’s 50 projects across 100 locations in Greenland. 250-300 researchers mainly operate in Summit Station, Kangerlussuaq, Raven Camp, and Pittuffik Space Base. Working together on the Arctic Research Support and Logistics (RSL) Program, also known as the Polar Program, Kahua leveraged NSF’s 8a contractor, QED Enterprises, to streamline contracting. NSF selected Kahua for its FEDRamp status, pre-built workflows, innovative approach, and Out of the Box Owner-focused capabilities.

Public Buildings Services (PBS)

The Public Buildings Services (PBS) is one of the federal government’s largest agencies that acquires space through new construction and leasing, overseeing federal properties nationwide. Kahua serves as PBS’ enterprise-wide project management information system, supporting GSA’s specific workflows and business processes. Providing a single source of truth for all programs, Kahua’s platform also enabled GSA to create internal and tailored workflows.

Hale Koa Hotel, Main Pool Complex

Owner: US Army Installation Management Command NAF Contracting

The Hale Koa Hotel’s pool complex renovation incorporates Hawaiian culture with features like waterfalls over lava rock walls, pillars topped with fire bowls, gas tiki torches, brick pavers, and the Indian banyan tree. Despite challenges from two hurricanes and major storms, the one-year project was completed on time while the hotel remained open. The upgrade was part of a broader initiative to refresh the 1970s-built hotel, including renovations to the parking garage and roofing replacements.
