Last month, the White House introduced Invest.gov, documenting nearly 32,000 projects and $470 billion worth of investments toward strengthening U.S. infrastructure and developing future-ready energy, technology and connectivity. The site’s interactive map illustrates both private investments and public infrastructure projects from the national to the individual community level and can be narrowed further by the type of project and funding designation.
According to the site, legislation that has been passed during the Biden administration is “bringing manufacturing back to America,” “creating new, good-paying jobs” and “transforming communities in every corner of the United States, including those that have too often been left behind.”
Understanding the unique challenges of federally-funded projects is especially important in light of these significant investments and numerous projects. DBIA’s Federal Design-Build Symposium in August is the perfect opportunity to join other agency officials and practitioners interested in federal sector design-build projects, including those funded as part of the White House’s Investing in America initiative.
Registration is open for the Federal Design-Build Symposium taking place August 22-23, in Arlington, VA. The two-day event provides a unique opportunity for targeted design-build education, candid conversations and meaningful networking for design-build team members in the federal marketplace.
What to Expect at the Symposium
DBIA’s Federal Design-Build Symposium proudly offers federal teams with the innovative tools, design-build best practices and federal policy insights needed to build high-performance teams delivering better projects — on time and on budget.
From planning, acquisition and execution functions to cutting-edge design-build innovations, Federal Design-Build Symposium sessions are designed in two separate tracks to help federal design-build teams deliver on the promise of economic recovery. With networking opportunities and five General Sessions featuring industry experts, the symposium will zero in on the specific needs of the federal marketplace and the key opportunities and challenges facing design-build teams.
