Mark Deaton is a registered architect in both Missouri and Texas. He’s LEED-accredited, a designated Design-Build Professional and a certified DBIA instructor. For the past 15 years, Mark has been active in the DBIA Kansas City Chapter, the Mid-America region and the national organization. He has been a Mid-America Region (MAR) committee member, Secretary, Vice President, President, and Past President. In 2016, Mark was instrumental in the passage of the long-awaited Missouri House Bill authorizing design-build and continues working for legislative authority in neighboring Iowa. Mark has also served as a certified DBIA instructor, leading or supporting more than 15 training sessions around the country. Mark has spent most of his impressive professional career promoting design-build, its processes, best practices and educating the design and construction industry.
