Robert Scancella, PE, FDBIA (Mentors)

Mr. Scancella believes in design-build, the DBIA and in service. Mr. Scancella best puts it by saying, “I give of my time and talent to design-build because I believe in it. When you believe something you find the required time, and teaching others is invigorating – not a hassle.” He is an individual who has made significant contributions to the design and construction industry and the advancement of design-build delivery through his outstanding leadership at the local, regional and national levels and has left a positive impact on the Design and Construction Industry. Mr. Scancella has more than 40 years of engineering, construction, and materials experience involving the design and construction of highways, roadways, and bridges. Besides being the Project Manager for NJDOT’s first Design-Build project, he has been on DB projects as Project Manager and QCQA Manager. Mr. Scancella has been involved with DBIA, being part of various Committees.
