With over 35 years of experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in planning, programming and designing large, complex projects, Susan is at the forefront of design-build delivery. In addition to serving as a Managing Principal at AC Martin, overseeing the Aviation, Higher Education, K-14, Civic and Special Services markets, she currently serves on both DBIA Regional and National Boards.
Her passion is rooted in developing design-build partnerships that accomplish targeted project goals and exceed their clients’ expectations. Susan’s repeated success in building consensus and enthusiasm in large, complex teams exemplifies her prowess with design-build delivery. Her approach starts with her ability to listen and understand key concerns, distill a wide range of input and identify common ground so that, through a collaborative process, an innovative design solution is found and embraced.
Susan’s strength lies in her ability to imagine projects through her clients’ eyes and collaborate with design teams and builders to take architectural concepts through to a successful design that fulfills the client’s vision.
Susan received her Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Southern California and her Master of Architecture degree from Columbia University.
