As part of the University of Colorado at Boulder’s Flagship 2030 Initiative, these two projects completed the Kittredge Loop Program, serving to retain students on campus past their first year. Kiewit brought a more than six-year partnership with the University, providing a foundation of trust and cooperation. Teamwork and rigorous budgetary control enabled the team to deliver more beds than the original plan required. The increased revenue projection allowed the University to reallocate money within the construction budget. And all of this was accomplished in 24 months, on an active campus, while working under Colorado’s severe winter weather.
