What was once considered alternative is now mainstream, fueling innovation, elevating outcomes and delivering collaboration with results.

When DBIA was founded, only two states had authority to use design-build. Today, thanks to a consistent track record of extraordinary project outcomes in every region of the United States and sector of the industry, only two states limit agencies’ use of design-build.
While legislative authority has expanded significantly since DBIA’s inception, it remains important to understand the state/local legislative environment.
