As the federal government continues to emphasize cost savings, project efficiency and accountability, DBIA’s fall federal event is evolving to support these priorities. This August, what was formerly DBIA’s Federal Design-Build Symposium will debut in a reimagined format: Federal Sector Design-Build Industry Days, August 20–21, in Reston, Virginia.
This transition reflects DBIA’s ongoing commitment to providing federal agencies and their partners with the most relevant, accessible and practical tools for successful project delivery. The event is tailored to support federal agencies, agencies receiving federal funding and industry partners by offering targeted insights, upcoming project opportunities and meaningful agency engagement.
“Our goal with Federal Sector Design-Build Industry Days is simple: create a program that reflects what our federal stakeholders need today,” said Lisa Washington, CAE, DBIA’s Executive Director/CEO. “That means more direct engagement, more clarity on upcoming projects and a clear emphasis on how design-build supports current federal priorities.”
Designed for Today’s Federal Environment
Federal Industry Days is tailored specifically to the realities of the federal project landscape. Whether you’re managing large portfolios, planning future procurement or working to meet evolving mandates, this event offers practical tools for increasing efficiency and effectiveness in federal capital project delivery:
- Access to Key Federal Agencies: Hear directly from representatives of major federal agencies with upcoming design-build projects. Agency sessions will offer insight into procurement timelines, goals and current challenges.
- Clarity on Upcoming Solicitations: Get ahead of the curve with updates on upcoming opportunities and the federal priorities shaping project delivery across multiple agencies.
- Real-World Case Studies: Learn from design-build successes at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL) and the FBI. These sessions will spotlight tangible improvements in cost, schedule and performance with takeaways for projects of any size.
- Deep-Dive Workshops: Sessions will include an economic outlook from FMI CEO Chris Daum and a look at how design-build is being used to repurpose and modernize federal buildings. More workshops will address timely topics for both Owners and practitioners.
- Affordable Access: Public and private Owners can attend for free. Underutilized Business Enterprises (UBEs) benefit from reduced rates. And early bird pricing helps ensure affordability across the board.
