We may be sunsetting IQ Magazine, but we wouldn’t do that without giving you a final issue for the ages. This issue is all about the flexibility of design-build, and much like that flexibility, we are shifting to more timely, dynamic media to meet your diverse information needs.
But before we say goodbye to IQ, here are a few of the stories you can read in Integration Quarterly’s swan song.
IN THIS ISSUE:
- DBIA has released a highly anticipated update to the Universal Best Practices. Following the 2014 release of the first edition, the new Best Practices include updated language, guiding principles and new guidance for modern projects.
- Design-build isn’t a one-size-fits-all approach, and the procurement method that fits a project is one of the many areas in which Owners have flexibility. Whether it’s Progressive Design-Build or Best Value Design-Build, the right choice depends on the Owner and project.
- The Port Authority of New York and New Jersey delivered the largest design-build project in New York and the largest design-build in American aviation history. LaGuardia Airport Redevelopment Program Director Laurie Balbo explores the build in the Owner’s Spotlight.
- Have some fun in our last issue with a 30-year themed playlist and a DBIA crossword puzzle.
There’s much more to talk about at the halfway point of our 30th anniversary, so take some time and enjoy the full issue.
And just because IQ is taking a bow, that doesn’t mean we won’t keep you up to date on all things design-build. DBIA will continue to offer valuable content through our various platforms, including the new Design-Build Delivers Webinars which are free to DBIA members, monthly Podcast and weekly blogs.
