Celebrating DBIA’s Newly Certified Professionals – September 1, 2019

Every year, hundreds of people undertake the training and education necessary to become a Designated Design-Build Professional.™ As the industry grows, so does the need for qualified professionals who practice Design-Build Done Right®. Each week we will feature just a few of the many industry professionals that are becoming DBIA certified. Congratulations to all!

Yajaira Morphonios, EIT, DBIA

Yajaira Morphonios is the Capital Programs Controls Manager at the Louisville Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD). She is also a Director of the DBIA Ohio Valley Region where she served at the 2019 National DBIA Student Competition as the Jury Champion.

 

Neill Belk, Assoc. DBIA, Ph.D., PE

Neill Belk is a Senior Geo-Structural Engineer at Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions in Nashville, Tennessee, where he has been for the past 5 years.

 

 

Tom Arnold, P.E., DBIA

Tom Arnold, is a Principal Civil Engineer at Coffman Engineers’ Spokane office with more than 33 years of experience both in the public sector and private sector in the management, planning, design, and construction of site developments and Federal, State, and municipal infrastructure with special emphasis in transportation, utilities, stormwater management, and related land use and site design requirements.

Brian Skripac, Assoc. DBIA, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP BD+C

Brian is the CannonDesign’s Director of Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) who continually drives innovation by focusing on the process orientation of the Building Information Modeling (BIM)-enabled VDC delivery process. He has 23 years of industry experience, with the last 13 focusing on the integration of BIM and VDC to transform project delivery. Brian has successfully developed and managed BIM-enabled delivery systems for large Cannon Construction Services efforts.

Lucy Kurek, Assoc. DBIA

Lucy Kurek is an Assistant Project Manager at Haskell based out of Denver Colorado. She received her MS in Real Estate & Construction Management from the University of Denver in 2018.

 

Nick Thomas, PE, DBIA

Since joining Wilson & Company in 2001, Nick has served as Project Manager, Project Engineer and Design Engineer on many projects including street and highway improvements. He is based out of  Wilson & Company’s Kansas City office, and with his experience with design-build projects, travels to work closely with contractors throughout the country.
