DBIA is committed to providing emerging leaders insights today to help them build a better tomorrow.

Previously known as Young Professionals, NextGen reflects how today’s emerging leaders see themselves and their role in shaping the future of design-build. NextGen is about growth, connection and leadership — supporting professionals as they build skills, expand their networks and step into leadership. While the name has evolved, the focus remains the same: creating meaningful experiences and pathways for the next generation of industry leaders.

Who Is NextGen?

NextGen includes professionals 35 years and younger who are building their careers and expanding their impact within the design-build industry. It’s a community focused on growth, connection and leadership development at a pivotal stage in the professional journey. They may be Owners, practitioners, consultants/Owner Advisors, academic faculty, etc.

Membership for young professionals is $75 annually.
