DBIA is now accepting nominations for the 2024 Class of DBIA Fellows. Nominations are due by July 5. For candidates, please review the application requirements for eligibility. The deadline for the Fellow candidate to submit their complete nomination package is July 12, 2024.

Being a DBIA Fellow is an elite status that recognizes the achievements of the most accomplished Designated Design-Build Professionals. By meeting rigorous requirements and making notable contributions to DBIA and design-build in general, these professionals have proven to be the best of the best in the design-build industry and by honoring them with Fellow status, DBIA is celebrating their career achievements and dedication to promoting DBIA principles.

DBIA Fellow status is limited to 2% of Designated Design-Build Professionals who are elected to Fellowship by a jury of their peers.

FELLOWSHIP REQUIREMENTS

  • 10 years continuously holding DBIA certification; and
  • 10 years of continuous membership in DBIA; and
  • 10 years responsible charge of design-build experience gained while DBIA-certified; and
  • nomination by an individual in an approved DBIA leadership position.

HOW TO BECOME A DBIA FELLOW

  • Step 1: A Fellows Nomination is submitted by a design-build industry leader peer with ample time to allow approved nominees to complete their full nomination package by the final early summer deadline. (Spring nomination)
  • Step 2: DBIA delivers Fellows Applications to qualified candidates
  • Step 3: Candidates complete the Fellows Application ($300 application fee) (Early Summer application)
  • Step 4: Candidates chosen as DBIA Fellows will be honored at DBIA’s National Conference & Expo (Fall designation)
