Christine N. Angleton, DBIA, LEED AP

Design Phase Executive
Mortenson Construction

Christine Angleton is a believer in the “one team” philosophy that is integral to the most successful design-build projects. Since being introduced to design-build project delivery in 2004, Christine has focused her career on this method, with special interest in alternative and progressive design-build delivery. She is passionate about creating and fostering highly motivated teams that are committed to working in a collaborative team environment. She has brought this passion for Design-Build Done Right and her team-building talents to over 22 design-build projects in her industry tenure.

Christine has over 27 years of experience in design and construction. She began her career as an interior designer for a hospitality design firm, but quickly found that her true passion was working in the build environment, which led her to the Construction industry. Through her career Christine has worked as a construction manager, with experience in purchasing, estimating and scheduling which all plays an important role in design management, along with pursuit champion for multi-million dollar projects. The hands-on construction management experience and seeing how work is put in place is invaluable in informing how Christine looks at design management, and ensuring constructible designs are produced.

Christine’s experience encompasses a variety of markets, including commercial office, multi-family residential, government, aviation, K-12, higher education, sports arenas, and transportation infrastructure. She has her Design-Build Institute of America (DBIA) and U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certifications. Christine has been a member of the DBIA Mid-Atlantic Region Board for the past Ten years leading several different committees for the Mid-Atlantic Region and serves on the National Committees for Owner and Federal Markets.  She is a regular attendee of DBIA conferences and has presented at the DBIA Federal Symposium and several national DBIA conferences in the past. Christine has participated in the National Student Competition for DBIA as a judge and either served or serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for various Charles Pankow publications for Design Integration Manager and Owner Representative.
