After graduating in 1977 from NC State University with a Civil Engineering-Construction degree, Don Warren spent nearly fifty years in the construction industry. During his 26-year career with Suite Construction, he progressed from a field engineer to President/CEO. Warren was also one of the five founders of the Design Build Institute of America (DBIA), established in 1993. The majority of his design build projects were in the Process Sector (Chemical, Food, Pharmaceutical, etc.), and several won DBIA Awards of Excellence. Warren was one of twenty to be inducted into the inaugural class of DBIA College of Fellows. He has also taught Day 1 and 2 of the DBIA certification course for over twenty years. Don concluded his career by successfully starting, leading, and growing new divisions in Upstate SC for three leading construction companies.
