Holly Streeter-Schaefer is an attorney with more than 20 years of experience in construction law, bringing a rare combination of legal and engineering expertise. Her practice focuses on alternative project delivery, including design-build contract negotiation, risk management, insurance, dispute resolution and litigation.
Holly has negotiated design-build contracts for projects ranging from $1 million to more than $250 million and has managed claims exceeding $100 million. Prior to joining Burns & McDonnell, she held leadership roles at national law firms and an ENR Top 400 construction company. She is active in industry and professional organizations, has served on a municipal code board of appeals and is an assistant teaching professor in Iowa State University’s College of Engineering.
