Jignesh Desai is a senior project manager for the San Francisco Public Utilities Commission (SFPUC). Mr. Desai has over 20 years of experience in performing various levels of engineering and project management in the transportation and water/wastewater industry. Mr. Desai holds master degrees from Indian Institute of Technology, Mumbai, and University of Southern California. Mr. Desai is a registered Professional Engineer in State of California, a LEED accredited professional, a Cost Estimating Professional and Program/Project Management Professional. Mr. Desai received his DBIA certification in March 2016 and has been a great advocate of DBIA in the public sector. Mr. Desai has delivered many capital improvement projects using a variety of delivery methods such as, design-bid-build, design-build, progressive design-build and Construction Management at Risk. Mr. Desai worked on multi-billion dollar San Francisco Airport Expansion Program in the 1990s and is currently assigned to work on $6.9-billion Sewer System Improvement Program for San Francisco.
Mr. Desai is an active member in the San Francisco community. He volunteers for a variety of non-profit organizations and represents the community in the Citizen Advisory and Design Review Committees for Transportation and Infrastructure Development programs in San Francisco. Mr. Desai is also a ham radio enthusiast and enjoys cycling.
