John A. Giachino, DBIA has nearly 50 years of industry experience, including more than 45 years in municipal water and wastewater utility asset management, operations and maintenance, and capital program execution. He has been instrumental in the development and management of more than 20 water and wastewater projects utilizing collaborative delivery methods in the U.S. and overseas.

Mr. Giachino has recently retired.  During his career he served in executive project management and business development positions for major U.S. and international engineering and construction firms for Design-Build, Design-Build-Operate, Construction Management at Risk (CMAR) projects and O&M Outsourcing.  He has also served as owner advisor on collaborative delivery projects.

John is a Design Build Institute of America (DBIA) National Board Director and a certified DBIA instructor.  He is the current Chair of DBIA’s Water/Wastewater Markets Committee and has been a DBIA National Awards jurist for many years.

He was on the board of the Florida Region DBIA (FLDBIA) as Water/Wastewater Committee Chair for almost 15 years and served twice as President of the Region. He is a Past President of the Florida Water Environment Association (FWEA) and served on FWEA’s Board for more than 10 years.
