With over 20 years in the field, Michael is an experienced certification professional. He holds a degree from Indiana University (Bloomington, IN) and later earned a Credentialing Specialist certificate from the Institute for Credentialing Excellence in 2015.
As Director of Certification, Michael leads DBIA’s credentialing programs, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and goals of the Design-Build Certification Board. He manages program development, exam administration and compliance to maintain the integrity and value of professional certifications.
Michael, a resident of Washington, D.C., is an active outdoor and sports enthusiast. He has completed section hikes of the Appalachian Trail in Virginia and has explored nearly the entire trail system within DC’s Rock Creek Park. His sports interests include ultimate frisbee, youth soccer and youth rock climbing, and he is a regular spectator of Major League Soccer (MLS) and the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL).
