Mr. Scancella retired from KS Engineers in July 2025. He was head of the the Construction Services Department, opening new possibilities for their Construction Management and Construction Inspection business. He brings with him 48+ years of experience in the design and construction of highways, roadways, and bridges, having served in the role of Project Manager, Resident Engineer, and Project Engineer for a wide variety of projects. He spent nearly 20 years of his career with the New Jersey Department of Transportation. During his time with NJDOT, he was a Resident Engineer, Project Engineer, Materials Structural Engineer, and Project Manager. He was selected as Project Manager for the first design-build project undertaken by the NJDOT in 1990 and has been involved in design-build and the DBIA since then. He is a graduate of the Citadel, Class of 1977.
