Wendell August Forge’s original historic building was completely destroyed by fire. The company carried on business in a temporary space while interviewing architects, contractors and developers and reviewing their proposals. Having heard of Wesex Corporation’s successes with integrated project delivery, Wendell August contacted them. Wesex managed the entire process from financing assistance, grant procurement and administration, preconstruction, land acquisition and development, with Wesex delivering a 60,000-square-foot facility that fulfilled the owner’s desire for a building that projected the historic charm of their original flagship building within 18 months.
