Design-Build Distinguished Leadership Awards Nominations Open

Design-build could never have shifted from an alternative approach to the mainstream delivery method it is today without industry leaders dedicated to advancing Design-Build Done Right® and promoting it as a procurement approach of choice. Each year, DBIA honors individuals who have advocated for, promoted and engaged in standout design-build work, and we are asking you to help us identify those individuals.

DBIA is now accepting nominations for the 2023 Design-Build Distinguished Leadership Awards through Aug. 4.

You are the ones who work alongside the leaders we’re looking for every day. You are the ones who know best which industry professionals, young professionals, students, faculty members and Owners have most significantly furthered the success of design-build as the nation’s fastest-growing delivery method. So ask yourself who in your professional circle best exemplifies leadership and promotion of design-build to help change the way America builds –– then nominate them for a Distinguished Leadership Award.

Award winners will be honored during DBIA’s 2023 Design-Build Conference & Expo in National Harbor, MD, Nov. 1-3.

How Are Winners Chosen?

These awards are presented to individuals who have demonstrated leadership in advancing effective design-build practices and promoting design-build as a project delivery method of choice.

Nominations will be judged based on the overall impact of the nominee’s activities with specific attention on the nominee’s achievements in furthering the understanding and use of design-build as an effective and efficient delivery method. DBIA understands that the means and methods by which the nominee achieves this goal will vary depending on their position within the industry.

Who Is Eligible?

Nominee categories include Owner, Industry Practitioner, Student (undergraduate or graduate), Faculty/Academia and Young Professional (35 or younger). Nominees are not required to hold DBIA membership, but additional consideration will be given to current, active members.
