May 1, 2023 – Two of DBIA‘s video productions won Stevie® Awards at the 21st American Business Awards® showcase. Out of the 3,700 organizations that submitted applications, DBIA won two Bronze Stevies, one for Diversity & Inclusion and one for Public Service & Activism.
May 5, 2023 – Nominations are open for the 2023 Class of DBIA Fellows. Chosen by a jury of their peers, only 2% of Designated Design-Build Professionals are elevated to the status of DBIA Fellow. Selected individuals join an elite group bearing the DBIA Fellows™ title and membership in the DBIA College of Fellows.
May 10, 2023 – Hensel Phelps created Diverge, its innovation and investment arm, to address the challenges to the industry’s digital transformation. Hensel Phelps’ Director of Innovation Thai Nguyen discusses how industry is using technology and innovation now, challenges to harnessing modern tools and techniques and how Diverge can address some of them.
May 18, 2023 – The highly anticipated updates to DBIA’s Design-Build Done Right® Universal Best Practices are out now. First released in 2014, DBIA updated the guide in response to the growth and evolution of design-build and the industry at large. May 24, 2023 – Originating in 2004, the Brunelleschi Lifetime Achievement Award recognizes those who unite innovation and creativity in design with the highest level of construction quality. Learn more about the legacy of Filippo Brunelleschi, the award’s namesake.
May 30, 2023 – Every year, college students from around the country participate in DBIA’s National Design-Build Student Competition. The championship allows young design-builders to create a project as a team, present it to some of the industry’s leading pros and earn national recognition for their work.
