About the Presentation:

How does Design-Build contrast with CMAR and Traditional Design-Bid-Build in the “real world”?

The Design-Build Institute of America’s mission is to be the industry’s preeminent resource for leadership, education, objective expertise and best practices for the successful integrated delivery of capital projects. In this lunch meeting we will broadly explore case studies at a 30,000FT view, and may drill down all the way to 300FT.

We will explore 10 (or more) Case Studies in a user-friendly participant-centered format to:

• Evaluate Design costs, Construction costs, $/SF, scope creep, etc.;
• Identify Design schedule and Construction schedule and anything that went wrong;
• Case studies will include horizontal and vertical projects that span numerous markets.
• Finally, we will leave plenty of time for your questions and hopefully provide some answers!

Robert Day, PE, BCEE, NCEES, F.SAME – Licensed in 46 states and principal of a multidiscipline AE firm with extensive design-build project experience nationwide.
