The Design-Build Project/Team Awards Program honors the best of the best in design-build project delivery. Year after year, we gather to honor projects and teams that push the envelope and challenge the status quo, all for the sake of improving our industry and raising the bar as it relates to cost and schedule performance, quality, innovation, Owner satisfaction and triple-bottom line success.

DBIA is excited to announce the 2025 National Design-Build Project/Team Award Winners. These projects showcase technical excellence and embody the collaborative spirit, creativity and forward-thinking that define Design-Build Done Right®. From revitalizing communities to advancing sustainability and delivering complex projects with speed and innovation, this year’s winners demonstrate the transformative power of design-build to shape the future of the built environment. 

This year, talented teams from across the U.S. submitted nearly 80 projects to compete for the 10 project type categories, and submissions were judged by a panel of industry experts.

Competition Awards and Categories

DBIA’s National Project/Team awards are given annually to projects that exemplify the principles of Design-Build Done Right^®. The categories awarded include:

Submissions are judged by DBIA’s Awards Jury, a panel of industry experts who evaluate each project for design-build process, excellence in design and teaming performance. Our awards jurors report that each year the bar gets raised on the definition of what it takes to be a standout project.

Each year, winning projects and teams are honored during the Awards Celebration at DBIA’s Design-Build Conference & Expo.

Each year’s award winners are included amongst hundreds of successful design-build projects in DBIA’s Projects Database. The Projects Database is searchable by project type, size and location and provides detailed information about cost/schedule, added value and innovative solutions that resulted from a collaborative design-build approach.
