  • In a recent ENR article about how early collaboration on projects can proactively control construction costs and prioritize flexibility, DBIA’s Lisa Washington, CAE, cited FMI research that found 77% of survey respondents reported a good experience with design-build, compared to only 32% for design-bid-build. “The ability to select the best-fit team with the capabilities and expertise that best align with the project was noted as a key driver of positive experiences with design-build,” says Washington. This competition puts students in front of industry leaders to showcase their skills and creativity and sets them apart as future design-build leaders. 
In this three-phase competition, teams from colleges and universities throughout the nation respond to a Request for Qualifications (Phase 1) and a Request for Proposals (Phase 2). In Phase 3, the top three teams compete for the national title at DBIA’s Design-Build Conference & Expo, Nov. 6-8, in Dallas, Texas.  Register through the link in our bio!
